Faith & Forgiveness

A word God spoke to me over a year ago during the lockdown for the body of Christ and the church in America.

(Scripture 1)-

Psalm 85: 8-13

(The revelation)-

Earlier in the psalm there is a cry for restoration and revival such as we are crying out for now. When God speaks He imparts peace to us, his saints. For those of us who sought Him during the shaking He imparted peace, there is a caution to not return to folly when this co-vid season has passed, as individuals and as a body we must remain pure and centered around Him alone. Heaven and earth meet as a result of our faithfulness as seen in verse 11. Verse 12 promises our harvest is coming. Verse 13 speaks of John the Baptist preparing the way of the Lord and I believe God is calling us a “John the Baptist generation” that we are to prepare the way of righteousness for the coming of our King. And so I ask God how do we walk in this righteousness that we may yield this increase? And the more important message He wanted me to share in answer to that question is found in Mark 11:12-25.

(Scripture 2)-

Mark 11:12-25

(The revelation)-

Jesus is on his way into the temple, he sees the leaves of the fig tree but no fruit, this is a SERIOUS warning against religion in the church. We are called to bare fruit in every season not as the fig tree which was bearing fruit in response to the seasons of fallen nature and not in response to the Son. God told me our churches in America have leaves and the appearance but lack fruit and that we must cease from responding to the world and respond to Him alone.

Jesus then enters the temple to upturn the money tables, we know of course that there must be no love of money in our house of worship but that it must remain a house of prayer.

When they pass the tree later they see that it is withered and Jesus replies to Peter with, “Have faith in God”, we must have a pure and childlike faith in God alone, not in our works or presentation or sound system or equipment, etc. Jesus is going to bring to nothing every thing that is not centered on Him. God is calling us to PURITY, to follow His leadership alone.

Jesus then says “Whatever you ask in prayer, BELIEVE that you have received it, and it will be yours. And whenever you stand praying, FORGIVE, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses”. So if we want to see revival and restoration and to be able to prepare the way of the Lord in righteousness we need a huge increase in childlike faith and we need to uproot un-forgiveness from among us. God showed me very clearly that unbelief and un-forgiveness is why the church in America is not moving in God’s power.
